YAOG 5 months ago Hello! You left a message on my (and presumably others') guestbook so I'm here to answer. 1. I haven't noticed any difference between weekdays or weekends, but I have noticed that playing during the day the players are better compared to the players during the evening, with regard to their ELO (a 2600 ELO player at 10am is better than a 2600 ELO player at 7pm). I believe this is because most Americans play each other and most Europeans and Asians play each other and the European and Asian players are simply better. 2. I play players of any strength connection and my ELO setting is +/- 400. I never abort games based on ELO or anything for that matter. I'll only abort if the convection is awful. 3. I see players fairly often who are 2400 who play like they're 2700. At least once a day. 4. No, I don't play in real life. 5. I am not mostly a defensive player. I'd say I'm more aggressive than defensive but against better players I tend to try to be more aggressive because I feel like I need to hit winners. I never hit high or very high balls or do anything like that. Also, I am very tall (201cm) and my serve is a little unorthodox. I have a great reach which helps but I have trouble staying low so I can't hit topspin very well. I try to vary my serves and shots. I'll often lose matches that I could have won if I kept using my best serve that they could not figure out. For some reason I like to prove to myself that I don't need to lean on one shot or serve.
